San Jerónimo is one of two family farms owned by Nicholas Hammond, also known as the owner of Catalan de Las Mercedes. Located in the San Martín Jilotepeque valley, Caturra, Catuai, Pache San Ramón and other cultivars are grown in the shade of banana trees. The cherries are picked by hand and processed at the Catalan mill just down the road. Although there are pleasant similarities between the two fincas, the microclimate creates noticeable differences in the cup. This batch is very balanced, creamy and has a wonderful nutty flavor that seems to come back with every season.
