In issue 27 of Like the Wind running magazine, the editors look at some amazing stories about the impact running has on people's lives.

The cover article explores running clubs inside penitentiaries in the United States. There, we learn how those behind bars have found a lifeline through multi-round marathons and meet the people who volunteer their time to create running clubs in prisons.

This issue also covers the Black Trail Runners, a British group that strives to make off-the-beaten-path running as accessible as possible to blacks and other minorities. For the first time in the history of the newspaper, the team introduces an opinion section with columnists who cover all kinds of topics.

It also features the usual mix of personal anecdotes, photographic essays and poems that explore the reasons we run.
