- Place your finger between the 3rd and 4th layer of the filter and open it in the shape of a funnel.
- Place the funnel in the upper part of the Chemex coffee maker, with 3 layers on the side of the spout.
- The spout acts as a vent that allows air to escape from the bottom of the coffee maker to let the coffee flow at the appropriate speed.
- Gently pour hot water through and around the filter to rinse it.
- Empty the water
- Put coffee in the filter, then make your coffee according to your preferred method!
