Sertaozinho - Brazil
Sertãozinho is a family farm with almost 70 years of tradition in the mountains of Minas Gerais. Their property is recognizable by its ancient Jequitibá Rosa tree - a symbol of deep respect for nature - which is also reflected in their practices.
The coffee producer, José Renato Gonçalves Dias, makes organic fertilizers and composts on the property for his crops, and has large reserve areas to preserve the local vegetation. Worker welfare is equally important to José who provides permanent workers with unlimited health care, access to education, professional development and on-site schooling for their children.
This batch of Catuaí grew in a very favorable microclimate for growing coffee. It is a sophisticated cup in its simplicity, naturalness and authenticity.
